Hello,
Several of the SVS-C55 & SVS-C55IR type cameras come back with complaints about bad image or focus with the lens. The problem in these cases is actually that the larger part of the lens mount needs to be separated from the very thin metal part in order for the lens to function and focus properly. It might be a good idea to add to the description of the product that this thicker piece of the lens mount should be removed from the camera, leaving only the super thin lens mount where the lens should be screwed directly into. Who can make that happen?

I can - if you can re-phrase that in a manner that is understandable by layman terms

I think that's about as "layman" as it gets.

My bad - what I meant was it is too lengthy of a description and would not fit in any spec sheets in its current form - I however can put in it the spec sheet as a warning in small print at the bottom but it must be shorten first and of course with approval - but first shorten a bit. Thanks.

Whatever works. Your suggestion to put it in the spec sheet as a warning sounds fine. I'll work on condensing the instruction and then I'll repost it here. Thanks

sounds good, however using the blog as a means to communicate rather than using email or instant message is weird and probably not what was intended for the security board blog - yeah.

Actually, this isn't a BLOG. It's a discussion board/information sharing forum. So communicating is not only appropriate, but actually encouraged from what I understand. So if communicating on a forum that is primarily for information sharing and communication is weird to you, then perhaps you don't understand the purpose of securityboard.org. Furthermore, having the information here as well as on the spec sheet increases the dissemination of said information...Yeah
